IS 2266 Compliance and Quality

All wire rope manufactured by Nesh Industries conforms to IS 2266:2002 — Steel Wire Ropes for General Engineering Purposes — the primary Indian standard governing rope construction, dimensional tolerances, breaking force, and elongation. Galvanized wire rope is supplied with zinc coating per IS 1835 Class A (heavy coating) for maximum corrosion protection. Each supply lot is accompanied by a mill test certificate documenting the actual breaking force test result, rope diameter, construction, wire grade, and batch number. Wire grades supplied are IPS (Improved Plow Steel) and EIPS (Extra Improved Plow Steel) — EIPS providing approximately 10% higher nominal breaking strength at the same diameter. Core types are Fiber Core (FC) for flexibility and lubrication retention, and Independent Wire Rope Core (IWRC) for crush resistance and approximately 7.5% higher breaking force. Applications
